Hospitality football at its finest

As part of Sauce & Brown Sponsoring Nottingham Forest Fullback Eric Lichaj we get 2 tickets to a game of our choice. So myself and Andrew just happened to choose the game against Sheffield Wednesday.

It was a glorious Spring day to stroll over Trent Bridge and see the reflection of The City Ground sparkle back. We got there nice and early and was met at the doors by Kevin Costners older and more rotund lookalike taking his role very seriously opening the door for us, I couldn’t help but think was his earpiece necessary or just a jobsworth accessory.

A series of doors being opened later and we arrived in The Robin Hood Suite. I had somehow thought that hospitality tickets were actually directors tickets, not quite the same. A pint of speckled hen and a perfect pork dinner later and it was just the small matter of attacking the dessert table before heading into the Main Stand to get comfy for the game.

Little did we know this would be the demise of Dougie Freedman and lead to his dismissal. As a neutral the result wasn’t too much of a problem for me, obviously I would rather of seen Forest win but on the day the away side won with the superb support of their travelling fans. Very few talking points during the game really but still thoroughly enjoyed by us both despite the result.

On the walk back to Meadow Lane and the car, in true football fan fashion we put the game to rights. Discussing wages over effort, selection and importantly the very impressive collection of cars in the car park….Hey what do we know we just create wonderful shirts.
